Garmin announced two new GPS running watches. THE Garmin Forerunner 965 and the Forerunner 265 its special feature is that it is the first to use an AMOLED display in the series, while retaining the features specialized for running known from its predecessors.
The Forerunner 265 comes in two case sizes (42 mm for the 265S and 46 mm for the 265), the smaller version promises 24 hours of GPS mode and up to 15 days, while the larger version promises 20 hours of GPS activity tracking and 13 days of smartwatch operating time the Garmin. The display is 360 x 360 pixels (265S) or 416 x 416 pixels (265), protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the bezel is polymer, the strap is a standard 18 mm (265S) or 22 mm (265) quick release. Both versions have sensors monitoring pulse and blood oxygen levels, both are capable of a Body Battery calculation, sleep and stress tracking, menstrual cycle tracking and pregnancy tracking. In addition, all the options known from previous models are available through the Garmin Connect interface, such as adaptive training plans that can be controlled from our wrist. The Forerunner 965 lasts much longer, the watch equipped with a 1.4″ AMOLED panel (case 47.2 x 47.2 x 13.2 mm) is capable of 31 hours of continuous GPS-tracked training and 23 days of use as a smart watch. fully charged according to the manufacturer. The AMOLED panel is 454 x 454 pixels and supports always-on display, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass DX, the bezel is titanium, and the strap is a standard 22 mm quick release. It has everything that the 265 can do, and it can also record additional performance indicators. Examples include load ratio, real-time endurance, effort levels, and more detailed altitude data. It also has a built-in map and more storage space (32 GB) for storing music.

European prices are not yet known, the US prices for the Forerunner 265 are $450 and the Forerunner 965 are $600. For the 265, you can also choose a colored casing, the 965 will only be available in black and white.
