After Garmin presented the comparatively “cheap” models Venu 2 Plus (from 425 euros) and the Vivomove Sport (from 180 euros), we can look forward to an update of Garmin’s high-end lineup in the coming days. All rumored models should support an EKG measurement – a feature that Garmin fans have so far had to do without.

The Fenix 7 lineup is said to be derived from the Garmin Fenix 7, the Fenix 7S and the Fenix 7X put together. Rumor has it that the first two models are also optionally available as a solar version with photoelectric charging function; the feature is included as standard with the largest top model, the 7X.

All three Fenix 7 watches are to use transflexive MIP LCD screens with diagonals of 1.2 (Fenix 7S), 1.3 (Fenix 7) and 1.4 inches (Fenix 7X) – the resolutions should be 240×240, 260×260 or 280×280 pixels. As WinFuture reports, the prices for the Fenix 7 series should start at 700 euros.

The great strength of the Fenix lineup is their battery life. In smartwatch operation with notifications & Co., the watches – sorted from small to large – should last 11 days, 18 days and 28 days, respectively. With solar support, the top model Fenix 7X reportedly lasted 37 days, the two smaller watches at least 22 and 14 days respectively.

Finally, the Epix 2 appears similarly bulky on the leaked renderings, but probably pursues a slightly different approach than the Fenix lineup. Instead of the extremely outdoor-suitable transflective displays, Garmin is to install a 1.3-inch AMOLED display here. The rumored resolution of 454×454 pixels is significantly higher than that of the Fenix series. The battery life should be no less impressive with a maximum of 16 days (* cries in Apple Watch *).

According to rumors, the well-known sensors for GPS, compass, pulse, SpO2 and movement are under the hood, and the watches then use them to determine speed, sleep duration, stress level, calorie consumption, recovery time after training, distance covered, etc. All watches should come in a stainless steel case, with water resistance up to 10 ATM.
