While there are still those who say that the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 wireless headphones are not expected to be announced at the big Galaxy Unpacked event, new leaks indicate that the devices went into mass production.
According to the well-known Max Jambor, Samsung started assembling the headphones this weekend and there are chances that they will be present at the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 presentation event.
Devices are to be sold in three colors: Zenith Bora Purple, Zenith Graphite and Zenith White.
As much as Samsung still doesn’t comment on the constant leaks about the wireless headphones, rumors indicate that they should be announced with improved noise cancellation (ANC) and longer battery life.
Another expected novelty is an improvement to the 360 audio feature, as well as automatic switching between devices.
Galaxy Buds Pro 2 may have delayed release, says rumor
A leak released yesterday (9) revealed the possible release date of the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4, with the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 not getting as much attention from major leakers.
Commenting on the matter, tipster @chunvn888 revealed that this “disinterest” in wireless headphones has a reason: the devices will not be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event.
They should be made official later this year at a separate event, as Samsung is adjusting production of the headphones in China.
For now, as expected, the Korean manufacturer still does not comment on the matter in an official way.
The next Galaxy Buds Pro 2 should hit the market with a design similar to the Galaxy Buds 2 model. The main changes will be in the audio quality and also in the new features that Samsung can insert into the devices. Another important addition is a case with a larger battery to extend total autonomy.
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 headphones have model number revealed
In addition to smartphones, the rumor world is also eyeing new Samsung accessories that should arrive later this year — in particular, new pairs of wireless headphones, which must be the Galaxy Buds Live 2 and Galaxy Buds Pro 2. Now it was the turn of the Galaxy Club portal to find and confirm the model number of this latest novelty.
As they suggest, the Buds Pro 2 has the model number SM-R510 — which shows a change in how the South Korean brand names its devices, considering that the previous generation used the SM-R1 prefix.
This jump in Samsung’s numbering scheme may (or may not) reflect significant hardware upgrades. It will indeed be necessary to wait for the launch of the accessory, but rumors already suggest that the battery inside the model’s charging case must have a greater capacity than previous models.
That battery, identified as EB-BR510ABY, has a capacity of 500mAh, which after all is not so much higher compared to current models. But maybe it’s enough for Samsung to bring so many other hardware modifications to the model. The Buds Live 2 is expected to have a case with that same battery.
