If photos in a tweets thread are to be trusted, we may get our first glimpse at the Fitbit Charge 5. A well-known leaker Evan Blass shared the photos of wearables with colorful screens and named them Fitbit Charge 5 showing how Fitbit’s next fitness tracker will look like.
The display is similar to the new Fitbit Luxe, with the first color screen in the Charge lineup and a slimmer design than the Fitbit Charge 4. Similar images were posted by 9to5Google in July with the codename Morgan.

The design of Fitbit Charge 5 is expected to be much more rounder than Fitbit Charge 4, particularly around the sides of each ring, as well as at the top and bottom. The leaked images also show an extended portion on either side. This could mean that the Charge 5 may use some of the Fitbit Sense features.

The expected shape Fitbit Charge 5 has a significant rounder design than the Fitbit Charge 4, particularly around the sides and top and bottom of each bezel. The pictures also show an extended portion on either side, which might imply that the Fitbit’s flagship fitness tracker will have some of the Fitbit Sense’s capabilities, such as an ECG sensor that needs you to grip both sides of the device as an ECG sensor.
It will be available in black, but you can also choose between blue with a silver casing and pink with a gold casing. The leaker didn’t list Fitbit Charge 5 specifications.
Knowing if there is an optimized version for the new screen is of course a problem, but it repeats the autonomy for up to 7 days every time you charge the Fitbit Charge 4 battery, which makes an interesting solution. You don’t need to charge the charger frequently.
Fitbit Charge 5 release date
According to the leaker, the expected release date is Oct 23, 2021. You won’t have to wait long to make sure the leaked images are real or fake. Blass is a trusted leader with a good track record. We still have to wait to know if this one is true or not.
