Finally! Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be compatible with Samsung DeX

The Galaxy Z Flip line , which had its first model launched in 2020, still loses to other Samsung cell phone ′′ families ′′ for not supporting DeX, technology that turns the device into a portable computer. However, it seems that this should change with the arrival of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 , the company’s next foldable that, in addition to offering new features, could bring a series of important changes.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 with DeX

According to information from SamMobile , Samsung should enable DeX support on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 . With this, the device will be the first in the line to have this technology and, considering its compact format, the smallest of the brand fully compatible with the functionality.

For those unfamiliar, Samsung DeX manages to transform the device into a kind of “mini desktop”, displaying the computer interface on an external screen, through a Smart TV or monitor , both wirelessly and using a compatible HDMI adapter.

This technology from the South Korean giant also allows the user to connect a mouse and keyboard for a complete experience. DeX still works on the brand’s tablets, but you don’t need an external monitor to take advantage of the feature, as the larger screen allows you to use it on the device itself.

Rumors point out that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 may be made official alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 sometime in July , possibly between the 25th and 27th. Samsung ‘s new foldable should bring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, improved cameras and two external screens , something unheard of in the line
