The film Ferrari released its first images, which show Adam Driver in character as the Italian tycoon who founded the car factory. The title will be directed by Michael Mann, famous filmmaker responsible for dramas full of adrenaline, such as The Informant, Fire against fire and collateral.
The production set in 1957 will address part of the life of Enzo Ferrari, a period when the legendary car manufacturer was going through a crisis in his company and marriage. Amid personal and financial problems, he decides to risk everything and put his cars to compete in the Mille Miglia, the iconic race in Italy that defined his legacy.

In addition to Driver, the cast will feature Penelope Cruz as Laura, Ferrari’s wife, who, alongside him, deals with the grief over the death of her son. Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy) will be Piero Taruffi, the brand’s famous racing driver; and Shailene Woodley (trilogy Divergent) will play Lina Lardi, Enzo’s lover.
British Formula 1 driver Peter Collins will be played by Jack O’Connell (Wild land), while actress Sarah Gadon (cosmopolis) will play Linda Christian, the “original Bond girl” from the first adaptation of Casino Royale.
In addition to these, Brazilian actor Gabriel Leone (Eduardo and Monica) will play the role of Fon De Portago, a Spanish driver who during a competition lost control of his car, leading to an accident that killed 9 more people who were following the race.
Ferrari is slated to hit theaters sometime in 2023.
