With just over two years until the release of Fantastic Four, there are already speculations about who should play Reed Richards in the film. Now, by all indications, the actor Dev Patel is Marvel Studios’ favorite name for the character.
The information was originally released by a verified account on Reddit called MSSmods. In the post, the leaker reveals that Marvel wants different actors to compose the Fantastic Four in theaters, unlike the comics and the first adaptation.

Listed names for Fantastic Four
In the past, the actors most likely to play Mister Fantastic were Adam Driver (Story of a Marriage), Diego Luna (Andor) and even Penn Badgley (you).
Actor John Krasinski, a fan favorite for the role, took over from Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Krasinski, however, reinforced that this would be his only participation in the MCU.

Other names that were quoted to join the cast of Fantastic Four include Austin Butler (elvis) as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Rachel Brosnahan (Wonderful Mrs. Maisel) and Jodie Comer (killing eve) in the role of Sue Storm/Invisible Woman.
It is worth remembering that the debut of Fantastic Four — which will kick off Phase 6 of the MCU — is already scheduled for November 8, 2024.
