Faemino y Cansado, Honor Award at the Berlanga de Humor 2023

Faemino and Cansado, the artistic duo that has been making us laugh for several decades, highly deserved Berlanga de Honor 2023. The Berlanga Awards for Humor return for their II Edition this year, after the first edition last year (in which Santiago Segura won the Honor Award) to once again recognize the merit and quality in the different disciplines of all these professionals who will meet on Monday, May 22 at the Palacio de Linares in Madrid, one of the stages used by the maestro Luis García Berlanga in his cinema.

The jury of that first edition repeats this year: Antonio Resines, Fernando Trueba, Loles León, Eva Isanta, Pedro Piqueras and Marta González Vega. Professionals from the world of culture, entertainment and communication who have been joined in this edition by the columnist Luz Sánchez Mellado. Together with them, José Luis García Berlanga, screenwriter, director, producer and son of the director. In addition, he is in charge of the Berlanga Restaurant, organizer of these awards.

One of the novelties this year is the inclusion of a new category that will be the Best Podcast Award (Humor). The rest of the sections are made up of: Best Comedy Film (Cinema), Best Entertainment Program (Television), Best Comedy Series (Television), Best Entertainment Program (Radio), Best Showman (Comedians) and Best ShowWoman (Comedians). ). Last year the category of Best Humor Film (Cinema) went to Seis días corrientes’ while ‘La Resistencia’ was awarded as Best Entertainment Program (Television) and as Best Humor Series (Television), ‘Come Juan’.

As Best Entertainment Program (Radio) ‘Nobody knows anything’ has been awarded; and in the category of Best ‘Showman’ and ‘Best ‘ShowWoman’ (Comedians) Dani Rovira and Eva Soriano have been awarded, respectively.

And, of course, the Berlanga Honor Award. With culture as a reference, his absurd humor from the everyday, without limits. Those are Faemino and Cansado, undoubtedly deserving of the Berlanga Honor Award, an award that Santiago Segura collected last year.
