Instagram has launched its lighter version called Lite. 2MB Instagram has been expanded to more than 170 countries from its few initially tested countries. People living in remote areas can experience full features of the lighter version of Instagram because it consumes less data. The lighter version of the photo and video-sharing app will be available for Android users. IOS users will wait for Instagram Lite.
Facebook owns most of the social media apps that are at the top of the download podium. Currently, opening Facebook and Instagram in your phone means a handsome amount of data and resources. Facebook introduced lighter versions of the apps like Facebook Lite, Messenger Lite, and Instagram Lite. The purpose to design these lighter versions was to target the markets where the internet service is not reliable. These Apps useless data, less processing power, and less storage in mobiles. Now Facebook is expanding them worldwide. Few data-rich features of the main app like Reels, IGTV, and shopping are not included in Instagram lite so that you experience a faster and cleaner app.
