Following in the footsteps of James Wan, Leigh Whannell and Adam Robitel in directing the first four installments of insidious, Patrick Wilson takes the baton in the making of Insidious: The Red Door. A title that now has a script written by Scott Teems (Halloween Kills, Fire Eyes), from a story by Leigh Whannell based on characters he created himself.
On the occasion of the imminent premiere of the fifth installment, blumhouse released its final trailer these days, which continues the story we knew previously in insidious (2010), Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013), Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) and Insidious: The Last Key (2018).
Recently, the company also took advantage of the launch to announce a new spin-off that will expand this universe -which in the past was related to the saga Sinister- and that has as an example the Warrenverso, created by James Wan and also headed by Patrick Wilson.
‘Insidious 5’ – synopsis
In Insidious: The Red Door, the Lambert family returns after Insidious (chapter 2) (2013). This time around, Josh (Patrick Wilson) and college boy Dalton (Ty Simpkins) decide to put an end to the otherworldly beings that continue to plague their lives. A fact that will make them have to remember a forgotten past, while the demon behind the red door takes advantage of the situation.
In the second installment, the last time we could see the Lamberts they decided to forget the horrors they had experienced in the afterlife, after Josh was trapped there and Parker Crane took over his body. A crisis they overcame thanks to Dalton and Elise’s team.

The fifth installment of the franchise insidious land next July 21 on the Spanish billboardwhich represents the return to this universe after the fourth film was released in 2018.

Patrick Wilson also heads the cast of this fifth installment, which features the returns of Rose Byrne (as Renai Lambert) ty simpkins (Dalton Lambert), Andrew Astor (Foster Lambert) and Lin Shaye (Elise Renair), also adding to the cast hiam abbass (Blade Runner 2049), Juliana Davies (The Pentagon Files) and daniel sinclair (Bull).
Between the big absent we found our own Leigh Whannel and his wandering companion Angus Sampsonwho played Speck and Tucker, the hunters of supernatural phenomena, in the first installments.
