Recently, the British newspaper Daily Mail revealed that Lucien Lavinscout, actor of Emily in Paris, is being considered to play James Bond in a new film in the franchise.
According to the tabloid, inside sources claim that Lavinscout ticks all the boxes the film’s producers are looking for, such as an actor who is elegant and in his 30s.

However, the news portal also claims that one of the reasons that prevents the hammer from finally being beaten is the actor’s participation in Celebrity Big Brother in 2011.
That’s because some executives don’t want James Bond’s image connected in any way with the actor’s participation in the reality show. In addition, the actors who played the character in the past had a more “intellectual” background, according to the Daily Mail.
If this comes to fruition, this will be the first time that the famous spy will be played by a black actor. However, so far no agreement has been reached and the vacancy for the role of James Bond is still being considered for other actors as well.

Inspired by the 1950 novel Casino Royale, 007 is a spy film franchise launched in 1962. Over the past few decades, several feature films have been released in theaters, bringing James Bond on a series of adventures around the planet.
The character has already been played by 6 different actors, namely: Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
In 2021, 007 – No Time to Die became the latest film in the franchise, again taking thousands of people to movie theaters around the world.
In the plot, we follow James Bond investigating the disappearance of an important American scientist. The feature received positive reviews from viewers and expert critics, who praised the care taken by the production in the action scenes.
The cast featured Daniel Craig as James Bond, Rami Malek as Safin, Christoph Waltz as Blofeld, Ralph Fiennes as M, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter, among others.
So far, little information about a new film in the franchise has been released, as the producers recently stated that they are “reinventing” James Bond.
