The creators of Dark Souls, FromSoftware, seek to take the experience of the series to another level. In the last E3, they shared the first images of the gameplay of Elden Ringan’s open-world title with the gameplay of past Dark Souls.
The title has become one of the most anticipated of this year and will be published on February 25 on all consoles: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. We will know more about the title at the Taipei Game Show.
Bandai Namco has published a promotional video of the title for this event in which it is revealed that it will take us at least 30 hours to complete the story.
“This will differ significantly depending on the player, but in terms of goals set during development, the idea is that the main route should be able to be completed in around 30 hours.”, detailed Yasuhiro Kitao, main producer of the game.
Of course, if you are one of those players who enjoys completing 100% you will have to spend a few more hours. “The game as a whole is pretty massive and contains many dozens of hours more gameplay, but if we’re just talking about the main path, it shouldn’t take much more than that,” adds Kitao.
Along with the complexity of a title based on Dark Souls, it adds that you can advance the story freely and taking different paths. You will have to replay the title to see everything that the developer has prepared.
Elden Ring will be released on February 25, 2022, on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, and it is already available for presale. It’s still too early to say, but given FromSoftware’s track record and what we’ve seen of Elden Ring, this may be one of the finest Xbox titles of 2022, especially for RPG aficionados.
