Among the most anticipated films of 2023 is certainly Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Rebels, scheduled to premiere on April 13 on Brazilian soil. Produced by Paramount Pictures, the work will have John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein in the direction, who are also in charge of the production scripts, alongside Michael Gilio. The film is based on the famous fantasy game of the same name, released in 1974.

Indeed, Dungeons and Dragonswhich was created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, has inspired many other famous works of film and television, including the drawing Dragon’s Cavereleased in 1983 and which featured three seasons of many adventures and mysteries. As the animation was a great success in Brazil, many fans are wondering if Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Rebels could have characters from Dragon’s Cave. And, for the happiness of many, the answer is positive.

During San Diego Comic-Con 2022, a trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Rebels gave us the answer and showed the characters from the film in a kind of arena, in which they would be about to fight against another group well known to fans: the characters from Dragon’s Cave. Now, a new video shows the group led by Dungeon Master in action!

Dragon’s Cave was the first introduction of many to the Dungeons & Dragons game and features the story of six young people: Eric, Sheila, Presto, Diana, Hank and Bobby. Upon entering a ride at the amusement park, they are transported to a magical world filled with danger and adventure, in which their only help is the mysterious Dungeon Master.
The animation was produced by Marvel, in partnership with TSR, while Toei Animation brought the characters to life.
Live action in Brazil
Dragon’s Cave, by the way, had already won a very interesting live-action through a commercial for a car aired in Brazil. In advertising, we see the main characters, as well as the villain Avenger, who appears to terrorize young people.
While the new film isn’t focused on the classic group, the nod shows that the production team is aware of the great legacy of Dungeons and Dragons.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Rebels has in its main cast Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Hugh Grant, Chloe Coleman and Daisy Head. Remembering, therefore, that the film opens in Brazil in April of this year.
