Dune: Game of Thrones actress is announced in the cast of the prequel series

After the film’s worldwide box office success Dunestarring Timothée Chalamet, the platform HBO Max has announced a prequel series called Dune: The Sisterhood.

Now, the platform has released new information about the production and announced the arrival of a new star to the cast of the series. This is Indira Varma, known for her roles in the series game of Thrones and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Indira Varma will play a monarch married to Emperor Corrino

According to information from Deadline, Indira will play Empress Natalya, described as “a formidable monarch who united thousands of planets with her marriage to Emperor Corrino”.

She will join the heavyweight team released so far, which includes actresses Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson.

Dune: The Sisterhood will be a prequel series set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides, based on the novel Sisterhood Of Dunewritten by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

The story will follow the trajectory of the Harkonnen Sisters, who established the famous Bene Gesserit sect and fought forces that threatened humanity.

The series will be produced by Diane Ademu-John, known for her work in The Curse of Bly Manor.

Although the new series has no release date, fans of Dune can look forward to the sequel, which will be released on November 3, 2023.
