Launched in July this year in China, the Doogee S89 line debuted on the global market last Monday (22). Bringing a high-resistance finish, the S89 and S89 Pro stand out for their huge 12,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 65 W.
The Doogee S89 series is strongly resistant to water, dust, impacts and extreme environments with military certification MIL-STD-810H and IP68/IP69K. The phones are 19.4mm thick and weigh 400g, promising an ergonomic experience that balances weight and a comfortable grip for users.
The large internal space houses the 12,000 mAh battery that, according to the brand, offers autonomy of up to five days of active use on just one charge. Thus, the phone is recommended for drivers, travelers, campers and other professionals/sportspeople who may be away from an outlet for several days.
To power the big tank, the S89 Pro supports 65W fast charging that allows the phone’s battery to go from 0 to 100% in two hours. The “standard” S89 has a 33W recharge capability for a full charge in three hours.
Other Doogee S89 specs
The Doogee S89 and Doogee S89 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Helio P90 chipset, which promises to deliver balanced performance. With 8GB of RAM as standard, the devices have a choice of 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
On the front, the phones adopt a 6.3-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution. With thick edges and waterdrop design, the panel brings the cutout for the front camera for 16 MP selfies.
The “standard” Doogee S89 has a triple rear camera with a 48MP main sensor, while the Pro variant offers a 64MP main sensor. However, both have a 20 MP night vision sensor and an 8 MP ultrawide unit.
Another highlight of the Doogee S89 and S89 Pro is the RGB lighting called “breathing light”. Similar to Nothing Phone (1), the light on the device’s rear camera module can be customized with different colors and speed and can be assigned to different smartphone functions, such as choosing different tones for calls and notifications.
Running Android 12, the devices still offer features like NFC, face sensor unlock, biometric sensor on the side, dual SIM chip drawer, customizable physical buttons, 15W wireless charging and reverse charging.

Devices from the Doogee S89 range are available for sale on the official store of the brand on AliExpress. Until the 26th of August (Friday), both devices will be at a promotional price with a 50% discount.
The “standard” S89 can be found at launch with prices starting at R$1,102, while the S89 Pro will start at R$1,267. After the promotional period, the devices will be sold at prices starting at R$2,755 and R$3,086, respectively.
