As reported by Deadline, the duo James Gunn and Peter Safran have just been appointed to the head of DC Studios. Together, they will share the presidency and executive production of all the brand’s audiovisual works, including films, series and animations.
They will be second only to David Zaslav, the new CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery that has promoted several changes in the company, which covers different brands known to the public, such as HBO, Cartonn Network, Adult Swim, etc.
From now on, the two will be responsible for planning and executing new works for the DC brand, continuing what was already being reformulated and extending the brand’s universe, which should enter a new era.
In addition to thinking about new movies, series and animations, they will also produce and direct projects. In other words, they weren’t just behind the scenes.
