Daisy Jones & The Six arrived on Prime Video this Friday. The adaptation of the book of the same name by author Taylor Jenkins Reid will have its story told over 10 episodes and will end on March 23.
The series presents the origin of Daisy Jones & The Sixone of the most famous rock bands of the 70s. From the rehearsals in the garage during adolescence to the last concert of the group in a sold-out stadium, the narrative focuses on the relationship between the characters and how fame has impacted their lives.

The folk rock band tried to achieve maximum fame throughout the 60s and 70s. However, it was only with the arrival of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham that the group reached stardom.

Much of the premise of the miniseries revolves around the creation of the album “Aurora”, the band’s biggest hit. This narrative is very inspired by the production of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours”, which was marked not only by its success, but also for having been produced during the most chaotic time behind the scenes of the band.
During the recording of “Rumours”, drugs took over the recording studio, together with the screams of the couple Nicks and Buckingham who fought all the time and the silence of John McVie and Christine McVie, another couple who were not going through good times.

Likewise, the recordings of “Aurora” were full of fights between Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne, both vocalists of the band and with serious problems with alcohol and drugs.
In addition to them, Karen Sirko and Graham Dunne faced their own problems for having a relationship hidden from the other members.
Either way, both albums, the real one and the fictional one, are considered to be their respective bands’ best.
