“Crush”: why you should watch this LGBT+ romantic comedy starring Rowan Blanchard?

In the modernity of the new audiences, the contents LGBTQ+ are growing within supply streaming and they try to focus on juvenile audiences. One of these latest releases is crusha ribbon coming-of-age starring Rowan Blanchard (Riley’s world) Y Auliʻi Cravalho (Moana) that portrays an out-of-the-closet lesbian girl’s struggles to find her first big love in high school. This is how we meet Paige Evans (Blanchard), a Miller High School student with a great passion for art who navigates between young loves and the self-discovery of herself as a person.

The love triangle of three teenagers in crush

Paige seeks admission to her dream college’s summer program, CalArts, but describing her happiest moment on her written application isn’t so easy. In turn, rumor has it that she is an anonymous personality known as “KingPun” who artistically intervenes places in the school to make colorful murals. Although she is not, she is unfairly accused and promises to find the culprit so that this reprimand does not tarnish her record as a student and thus be accepted into CalArts.

On the other hand, the protagonist is also involved in a situation outside her comfort zone after accepting Gabby Campos’ invitation to join the athletics team. Paige has a crush on this popular girl considered to be the queen of the school, and she can’t help but enjoy spending more time with her. However, for this sports task, she is assigned to AJ (Cravalho), Gabby’s sister who will guide her in training.

As Paige and AJ spend more time together, something grows within them as they collaborate to investigate who might be behind the identity of “KingPun.” Both have more in common than they thought and are always laughing together, but neither really dares to take the next step. This is how this inexperienced –and a little clumsy– young woman finds herself torn into a love triangle that will lead her to the most unexpected situations in her life.

Rowan Blanchard20, is best known for her role in Disney in the leading role of Riley’s world. While, Auliʻi Cravalho (twenty-one) rose to fame for performing the voice of Moana in the animated film of the same name developed by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The two actresses bring to life the charming teen romance seen in crush.
