In the summer of 2023, as promised, it will be released in Europe in June Lenovo Tab Extreme, a top-of-the-range Android machine intended as a direct competitor and alternative to the iPad Pro 12.9″ and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Lenovo offers a 14.5-inch display in the machine with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3000 x 1876 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio and an average brightness of 500 nits. The entire front panel is occupied by the panel, but there is no notch, the front camera was hidden in the longitudinal side of the frame by Lenovo engineers. The OLED display supports input with a touch pen, the Lenovo Precision Pen 3 is a standard accessory in the box.

The tablet uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip (1 x 3.05 GHz ARM Cortex-X2 + 3 x 2.85 GHz Cortex-A71 + 1.8 GHz Cortex-A510), along with 12 GB of LPDDR5X operational memory and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage space is included, the storage can be expanded. The device has a 12,300 mAh battery, which accounts for most of the tablet’s 740 grams. The Tab Extreme is 327.8 x 210.8 x 5.85 millimeters, but if you connect the magnetic keyboard to it, the machine will be thicker and heavier (1.5 kg). It is interesting that there are two USB-C connectors on the side of the tablet (one 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and one 2.0 Type-C), and next to them there are eight speakers distributed on the frame, which enjoy Dolby Atmos support. The tablet can be charged with 68 watts, the appropriate adapter will be a standard accessory in the box.

In terms of cameras, there is a 13 MP sensor on the back and the front, as well as a secondary 5 MP camera for the front and an auxiliary RGB sensor for the back. On the software side, the tablet starts with Android 13, for which the manufacturer promises three main versions and four years of security support. Via the USB 3.2 connector, you will be able to transfer the contents of the machine’s display to other devices either wired, or wirelessly with the manufacturer’s own computers (or probably any other Windows-based PC), and the tablet can also be used as a secondary display. Wireless connections are provided by Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, according to Lenovo, the machine can play 12 hours of continuous video on a single charge.

When it is released, the price of the machine starts at 1,299 euros, which includes the magnetically connected keyboard case (with illuminated keys, multitouch trackpaddel), the Precision Pen 3, as well as the tablet itself.
