CES 2022: how to follow AMD’s conference on TechMarkup?

This January 4 at 4 p.m. French time, AMD’s conference will be held as part of CES 2022. Presented by the indebted Lisa Su, the event should be the occasion of several announcements, especially for our Laptops. We explain here how to follow AMD’s keynote on TechMarkup.

AMD has things to tell us. Today, just before NVIDIA and Intel, the firm will hold an online conference on the occasion of CES 2022. At 4 pm, we will therefore be informed on the news from AMD to come in the coming months. To follow the conference, nothing could be simpler: the event will be broadcast live on YouTube.

A very mobile-oriented conference?

As for the announcements, we should be served. If we are to believe the latest rumors, AMD would present its new range of Ryzen mobile processors “Rembrandt”. These will probably be based on the Zen 3+ architecture and TSMC’s 6nm engraving. They would also benefit from a new integrated graphics part (iGPU) using the RDNA 2 architecture for more performance.

AMD would also have planned to enrich its range of Radeon graphics cards for laptops, with the supposed launch of a slew of mobile GPUs for gaming laptops, but also for more compact machines, or mainly focused on multimedia.

Incidentally, the firm could also tell us about future Ryzen desktop processors. It remains to be seen whether it will give us as of today more information on its Zen 4 “Raphael” (5 nm) chips, expected at the end of 2022.

More than likely, AMD will utilize CES 2022 to showcase Zen 4 and launch upgraded Zen 3 chips with improved performance. AMD watchers believe the firm may release upgraded Zen 3 cores with new 3D V-Cache chipset technology as a stepping stone before releasing Zen 4. AMD has said that Ryzen CPUs with 3D V-Cache will be available in the second half of 2021, thus a CES 2022 announcement sounds appropriate.
