Due to the pandemic, the convention has not been held in person since 2019. Therefore, fans and stars were looking forward to the return of what is considered the biggest pop culture and geek event in Latin America.
In the line-up, artists like Jenna Ortega and Gwendoline Christie, from Wandinha, a series that broke Netflix records in 2022, were some of the most anticipated attractions. On the show’s panel, they talked about what it was like to revive one of the great pop culture classics and bring a teenage look to the Addams family.
Meanwhile, actors Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey and Gabriel Luna, the protagonists of The Last of Us, also gathered hundreds of fans at CCXP. The star team also included Keanu Reeves, Hugh Grant, Chris Pine, Xolo Maridueña, Bruna Marquezine, the protagonists of Heartstopper🇧🇷 Kit Connor and Joe Locke, who showed up at the surprise fair, and more!

In addition, fans who showed up on Friday, December 2, were still able to watch Brazil’s match against Cameroon in the 2022 World Cup, further expanding the event’s horizons.

About CCXP 2023
Although the news has not yet been confirmed, it is very likely that the Comic Con Experience will return to São Paulo in 2023. After all, the Brazilian public has a high demand for the event and the number of participants surpasses the CCXP in San Diego , original version of the convention.
Therefore, if you also want to participate in this unforgettable experience and put together your best cosplay to enjoy the event, it might be a good time to start saving money. Traditionally, the Comic Con Experience in São Paulo takes place towards the end of the year, between the months of November and December. Therefore, it is likely that in 2023 it will be like that too.
