anthony mackie has one of the most complicated tasks in the new MCU: meet expectations like new Captain America after a decade with Chris Evans elevating the marvelita patriotic hero in each new appearance. After all, the trilogy starring Steve Rogers is among the best in the universe commanded by Kevin Feige, thanks in part to the good work of the brothers Russian.

The coveted shield has been inherited by Sam Wilson (Mackie) and he finally accepted his role as the new ‘Cap’ at the end of the series Falcon and the Winter Soldier, so now it’s time to prepare for his first solo film adventure. The film, which opens on May 3, 2024, has changed its title to Captain America: Brave New World (before it was New World Order).

Marvel Studios has released the news on social networks and has shared the first look at Mackie already Harrison Ford on the shooting set.

The veteran actor joins the marvelita franchise in the skin of the general Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross a military officer whom William Hurt previously performed in The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: Civil War and the most recent Black Widow.

In addition to the series Star Wars, has starred Indiana Jones for them and on June 28 the fifth installment premieres, indiana jones and the dial of fate with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen.

Brave New World It is directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) and, in addition to Mackie and Ford, it has in its cast Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, another return of The incredible Hulk, as well as Shira Haas, Danny Ramirez, and Carl Lumbly. These last two will sound to the audience for their participation in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where they gave life to Joaquín Torres and Isaiah Bradley.
