Call Of Duty Vanguard: Ranked Mode Could Arrive With Season 2

Competitiveness is already present in the Call of Duty series, thanks to “Skill Based Matchmaking”, which we can translate into performance-based matchmaking. That is to say that in fact, you will only meet players who have had performances and a more or less similar level to yours, although gaps may remain, especially if you play with friends who have a level quite different from yours.

This is why the developers are working on a Call Of Duty Vanguard Ranked Mode, which was announced in October. The objective is simple: to bring more competitiveness, healthier and with a better balance of the players, if everything works. The ranked mode, called “League Play” will bring several competitive modes, probably the most played, different divisions and will show your level, which should push some of the players to invest even more, to be among the best. This is a system that we see in many competitive games, such as VALORANT, CSGO, Apex Legends, or even Fortnite.

According to the latest information, which is not yet official, this new feature could be introduced as early as season 2. In the game, it is stated that season 1 ends on Tuesday 1 st February season 2 could therefore land in the process, and thus introduce the Official Play. If this is the case, we will know a little more during the month of January. It remains to be seen whether the SBMM will remain partly uncompetitive, or whether it will disappear.

In the second season, look for more information on the Vanguard Ranked Play. For now, have a look at this full-size map from Vanguard Season One.
