Developer Activision has a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II in the works. It is a reboot of the popular shooter series and a direct sequel to the 2019 game.
Recently, they shared an extended gameplay trailer where you can learn a little more about the story. The soldiers must infiltrate enemy lines to fight against the Russian military forces.
You can see British and American soldiers and there is a special appearance by Mexicans. As expected, the gameplay of modern warfare will be maintained; everything seems to indicate that Infinity Ward and Activision have given up their efforts to turn this saga into a futuristic shooter.
In addition to this announcement, the company confirmed that they are working on a Call of Duty: Warzone 2, the Battle Royale version. The official release date is not known, but it is expected that there will be new maps, battle passes with a lot of cosmetic content and support for rooms with hundreds of players will be maintained.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be on sale on October 28 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. After five years, Call of Duty returns to Steam, Valve’s sales platform.
