Apple launched the new iPhone 14 line yesterday afternoon (7), and has already released the price of the devices for the Brazilian market. New surveys made by the Picodi portal show that it takes 74 days of work to buy an iPhone 14 Pro here, on average.

The research was based on IBGE data, which show an average salary of R$ 2,613 gross (R$ 2,419 net). The daily value is obtained by dividing this value by 21, which is the average number of days worked in a month.
As a result, the ratio between average pay and price for the iPhone 14 Pro is the third highest in the world, behind only Turkey and the Philippines — with 146.7 and 90.9 days, respectively.
At the other end of the list, it takes just 4.6 working days to buy a cell phone of the same model in Switzerland, or 5.7 days in the United States. In the latter case, the price considered is the one where state taxes are 0%.
In Brazil, the result is in a slight downward trend in relation to previous years. Last year, it took 79 days of work to buy an equivalent device, while the peak was reached in 2020 with 83 days.

Apparently, the Brazilian iPhone should remain the most expensive on the planet. This scenario has already been registered for several years, due to disproportionate prices in relation to the direct conversion of the price into dollars in the United States — naturally, other factors also increase the price, such as national taxes, logistics costs, brand positioning, among others. .
