Bluetti has already been a popular player in the market of larger but still portable batteries, we have also tried the EB3A and EB70 before, for which you can also buy folding solar panels of different performance. The company’s new product is the AC180, which is currently one of their strongest models in this segment.
The dry technical information for such a device starts with the battery capacity, in the case of the AC180 it is 1152 Wh. This is much more than the 716 Wh capacity of the EB70. The other measure is the output power, which in the case of the AC180 is 1800 watts, which can be used to power consumers with higher power requirements, a smaller lawnmower, microwave oven, hotplate and many tools can get enough power from the box, that is, it offers just that much more than just a to have an external battery that can be taken for camping and picnicking, but also to be able to carry out small jobs with it in places where the wired network is not available.
The charging speed is also impressive, you can feed the animal with 1440 watts, and for this you don’t need to carry a buffalo adapter with you, because the inverter is inside the box, a completely traditional power cable and a socket are enough for it, and it can also be powered by a solar panel (maximum with 500 watt charging), reaching a total charging speed of 1800 watts, so the battery can be fully charged in 45 minutes. The Bluetooth connection known from the EB3A is also provided, and this also includes a phone application where we can monitor what is going on. The UPS mode can also be switched on here, which switches to battery operation in 20 ms in the event of a lack of mains supply.
Bluetti provides a 5-year warranty, and for the lithium-iron phosphate battery, it guarantees 80% capacity for up to 3,500 charging cycles. In addition to two 230V sockets, there is a 100-watt Type-C port, two USB-A (5V/3A), a 12-volt DC output, and a 15-watt wireless charger mainly for phones sits on top of the box. The device does not yet have an official price, only the presentation took place. Those interested in the product can sign up for further information with their email address on the Bluetti website.
