black adama feature film based on the eponymous character from DC Comics, has finally arrived in movie theaters across the country this Thursday (20).
“Nearly 5,000 years after being bestowed with the omnipotent powers of the Egyptian gods and just as quickly imprisoned, Black Adam achieves freedom from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his justice on the modern world,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
Directed by Jaume Collet – Serra (the orphan, Jungle Cruise and House of Wax), while the screenplay is by Sohrab Noshirvani (the Mauritanian), Adam Sztykiel (The Unstoppables) and Rory Haines (informer).
The Rock, in addition to starring, is also a producer of the feature. The cast also includes Sarah Shahi, Noah Centineo, Pierce Brosnan, Quintessa Swindell, Jennifer Holland and Aldis Hodge.

New direction for the DCEU
black adam, according to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, should change the future prospects of the DCEU. In an interview with the website Screen Rant, the actor said that the film is a reflection of the vision of director Serra, “who wanted to create something different and disruptive”.
“He also wanted to create a movie that started the swing of the pendulum in the DC Universe. In addition to the hierarchy of power I’ve been talking about, this swing of the pendulum will usher in a new era of the DC Universe.”
He further states that it will be an era of “anti-heroes, with different tone and narratives, with respect and listening to the fans”.
