This Wednesday (22), the nominees for the 3rd Critics Choice Super Awards were announced. The event is focused on projects that, many times, do not gain prominence among the most classic awards in the industry, such as the Oscar and the Emmy.
It was created in 2021, after the Critics Choice Association realized that an update was needed among the awards, which have been losing more audience each year. So, they decided to create this award that honors the most popular projects among the general public.

This year, the most nominated film is batman: in all, the film starring Robert Pattinson received 6 nominations, including Best Superhero Film and Best Actor in a Superhero Film for the protagonist.

Paul Dano (Riddler) and Colin Farrell (Penguin) were also honored in this category. Dano also appears in Best Movie Villain. Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman) was not left out, being nominated for Best Actress in a Superhero Movie.

Talking about the series, there was a tie of four nominations for four different projects: The Boys was nominated for Outstanding Superhero Series, as well as two acting nominations for Antony Starr and one for Erin Moriarty. The House of the Dragon appears in Best Science Fiction or Fantasy Series, along with a double nomination for Matt Smith and one for Milly Alcock.

What We Do in the Shadows It is Evil – Supernatural Contacts were nominated for Best Horror Series. Both received three nominations each in the acting categories.

The big winners will be announced on March 16th. However, there is still no information on whether the event will be broadcast in Brazil.
