For now, only the first movie of avatar ($2.92 billion), Avengers: Endgame ($2.79 billion), Titanic ($2.19 billion) and Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens ($2.07 billion) are ahead of The Way of the Waterwhich may climb even further on this list, as it continues to be shown in several cinemas around the world.
Outside the United States, the film made $1.5 billion in revenue, making it the fourth biggest film in history in that regard.
