This past Sunday (08), Avatar: The Way to Water surpassed the 1.7 billion mark at the box office worldwide, becoming the 7th greatest film in cinema history.
Considered one of the most anticipated premieres of 2022, the film’s great commercial performance has already made experts create projections of its total collection. At the moment, some portals specializing in cinema already claim that the feature can enter the top 3 of the highest box office in the world.

Currently, the list consists of Avatar (2009), with a gross of US$ 2,922,917,914, Avengers: Endgame (2019) with US$ 2,797,501,328 and Titanic (1997), which grossed a total of US$ 2,201,647,264.
If the projections are confirmed, this may be the first time that Titanic has lost the title to a new filmapproximately 25 years after its launch.
It is also worth remembering that Avatar became the highest grossing film in the world in 2009, but that there are still no projections that the new feature can reach the same mark as in the past.
In this way, Avatar fans can already cross their fingers and hope that the film continues to stand out in theaters in the coming weeks.
