ASUS lets slip possible price of Zenfone 10

Already with attention focused on the next generation of its traditional flagship, ASUS may have missed the possible sale value of the Zenfone 10. The price is listed in the terms of participation in a special promotion in which users who register can be raffled to win a unit of the device, after giving feedback on photos taken with the new smartphone.

The Taiwanese giant recently confirmed that it is working on the Zenfone 10 and launched a website asking users to collaborate with the development of the camera software. Those interested can register to vote in a selection of votes that will help the company’s engineers tweak the imaging algorithms to improve the photos.

The most interesting aspect of the vote is that, after the launch of the phone, the company will draw three units for some of the participants in this voting stage — the promotion is worldwide and should include Brazil, with mandatory registration on the portal. As is customary in drawings, a file with the terms of participation was made available and, by law, the unit value of the prizes offered must be described in the document.

Thus, ASUS may have revealed the possible selling price of the Zenfone 10, or at least the amount it intends to charge. According to the documentation, the device should be sold for US$ 749, or about R$ 3,740 in direct conversion and without taxes – an increase of 50 dollars compared to the Zenfone 9, which arrived in the US for US$ 699 (~R$ 3490) in its simplest variant.

This leap can be justified by the increase in memory: the Zenfone 9 model sold at US$ 699 had only 8 GB of RAM, rising precisely to US$ 749 in the 16 GB version, while leaks suggest that the Zenfone 10 may abandon it altogether. the option with the lowest memory capacity instead. If this is indeed the case, the new flagship could be an attractive option despite strong competition, especially since there is not an effective increase in cost, in a way.

Still without a specific release date, the ASUS Zenfone 10 is expected to hit stores equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, up to 512 GB of storage, a larger 6.3-inch screen with a 120 Hz OLED panel, a 200 MP with optical stabilization (OIS), 5,000 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging and IP68 water and dust resistance certification.
