Apple will manufacture even more iPhone 14 in India

Apple is already having copies of the iPhone 14 manufactured at Foxconn’s factory in Sriperumbudur, India, and there will be more. Now the Taiwanese manufacturer Pegatron will become Apple’s second manufacturer of iPhone 14 models in India, writes Bloomberg.

China’s restrictive covid policy is one of several reasons why Apple is looking outside the country for its iPhone manufacturing. Currently, models of iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and since September, iPhone 14, are manufactured in Indian factories belonging to Apple’s subcontractors Foxconn, Wistron and Pegatron.

iPhone exports from India should be worth the equivalent of SEK 11 billion, calculated from April this year until now.
