The stable version of OxygenOS 13, based on Android 13, has also arrived for OnePlus 8 phones. The new software is available for the globally sold 8, 8 Pro and 8T, and at the same time the 9R, 9RT and 10R intended for the Asian market will also receive the new system. The new system comes with F.13 software on behalf of the 8 series, weighs roughly 5 GB and includes the October 2022 Android security package.
OxygenOS 13 brings a new visual look to phones and includes the new Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, which monitors the detection of complex navigation gestures and optimizes the phone’s reactions to them. The always-alert display is also updated, from now on the user can see live notifications on AoD, for example about travel, ordering a car or food, or media. According to OnePlus, overall system speed and stability, as well as uptime, will improve on 2020 phones with System 13.
The update can be installed as an OTA directly on the phones through the settings. If someone’s phone doesn’t see the update yet, don’t worry, OnePlus will roll out the update in waves over the next few days or weeks to everyone who wasn’t part of the beta test.
