Two major Android updates are the industry standard and OPPO, which is currently causing a sensation in Europe, is no exception. The Chinese are also likely to have various Android 12 irons in the fire. This should certainly include the models of the Find X3 series, which will be presented in the near future.

  • Reno 4 Pro
  • Reno 4
  • Reno 4 Z
  • Reno 4 Lite
  • Find X3
  • Find X3 Pro (in beta)
  • Find X2
  • Find X2 Pro
  • Find X2 Neo
  • Find X2 Lite
  • A73 5G
  • A91
  • A52

Vivo

With Vivo, we are dealing with a company that has long been a giant in Asia, but is still completely new in Europe. The models available here are therefore still so new that they should all receive Android 12 as part of Vivo’s 2-year update policy.

  • Vivo iQOO 7Legend (in beta)
  • Vivo X51
  • Vivo Y70
  • Vivo Y20s

Huawei

Well, Huawei – what should we say? For the sake of completeness, we are including the Chinese, but I probably don’t have to tell you how theoretically there are currently the chances that an Android update can be seen on a Huawei smartphone at all. Instead, the upcoming models will rely more on their own Harmony OS.

Honor

Honor looks very similar to Huawei. Although they are now detached from Huawei and have formulated very ambitious goals for this year, Honor still has to find its way back into Google’s lane under the umbrella of the “Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology” consortium. New models such as the international version of the View 40 can again rely on Android and Google services, but how this will affect the old smartphones remains to be seen.

  • Honor View 40

OnePlus

From OnePlus we are actually used to an exemplary update policy with quick implementations. However, with the introduction of additional rows, this is tipping a bit, because OnePlus only wants to deliver one major update for models like the Nord N10 5G. For the N10 5G shipped with Android 10, this means that it is already after the Android 11 shift. So here are the models that we expect to be minded with Android 12.

  • OnePlus 9 (in beta)
  • OnePlus 9 Pro (in beta)
  • OnePlus 9 Lite
  • OnePlus 8 Pro
  • OnePlus 8
  • OnePlus 8T
  • OnePlus North
  • OnePlus North 2
  • OnePlus Nord CE
  • OnePlus Nord N200
  • OnePlus 7T Pro
  • OnePlus 7T

Lenovo / Motorola

Motorola is also such an Android problem child. Once you were a model boy, but unfortunately somehow changed from Hero to Zero under the Lenovo umbrella. Not every model gets updates for two years and Motorola users wait a long time for their new software. Here are the most likely candidates for the Android 12 update:

  • Motorola Moto G30
  • Motorola G40
  • Motorola Moto G60
  • Motorola Moto G100
  • Motorola Razr 5G
  • Motorola Razr
  • Motorola Edge
  • Motorola Edge Plus
  • Motorola Edge 20
  • Motorola Edge 20 Lite
  • Motorola Edge 20 Pro

Realme

Realme 2 has announced major updates for its flagship series X and Pro and the upcoming Realme GT is of course a crystal clear Android 12 candidate.

  • Realme GT
  • Realme X3 SuperZoom
  • Realme X50
  • Realme X50 Pro
  • Realme X7 Pro 5G
  • Realme X7

LG

In April 2021, LG announced the closure of its smartphone division after 19 years. At the same time, there was also confirmation of the smartphones that will receive the update for Android 12. The information was published on the official website of LG in Korea.

  • FAQ on the end of LG phones: How about updates, warranty and support?

In addition to the list of updates for Android 12, there was also a confirmation of the models that will receive Android 11 by the end of 2021, as well as the models that will be updated to Android 13. The LG smartphones that have been confirmed to be updated to Android 12 are:

  • LG Wing (also Android 13 already confirmed)
  • LG Velvet (also Android 13 already confirmed)
  • LG V50S
  • LG V50
  • LG G8
  • LG Q31
  • LG Q52
  • LG Q92

HMD Global / Nokia

Nokia is one of those candidates, who basically delivers updates reliably, but also likes to take its time. With the following models, we can imagine that the update to Android 12 will hit the devices at some point:

  • Nokia G10
  • Nokia G20
  • Nokia X10
  • Nokia X20 (in beta)
  • Nokia XR20
  • Nokia 8.3 5G
  • Nokia 5.4
  • Nokia 5.3
  • Nokia 1.3
  • Nokia 2.4
  • Nokia 3.4

Sony

The Japanese join the phalanx of those manufacturers who promise two major updates at least for the flagship smartphones. Sony has not yet officially confirmed an update, but we expect Android 12 on the following devices:

  • Xperia 1 II
  • Xperia 1 III
  • Xperia 5 II
  • Xperia 5 III
  • Xperia 10 II
  • Xperia 10 III

ASUS

ASUS should at least treat its current gaming smartphone and the ZenFone 7 (Pro) Android 12. With the ROG Phone 5, a new gaming bolide from Taiwanese is right in front of the door and is of course also suitable for Android 12.

  • ROG Phone 5
  • ROG Phone 3
  • ZenFone 8 (in beta, ZS590KS only)
  • ZenFone 8 Flip
  • ZenFone 7
  • ZenFone 7 Pro

Other manufacturers
