Amber Heard in Aquaman sequel despite fan petition

Amber Heard (37) is not so easy to get down! The actress had a mud fight with Johnny Depp (59) in court last year. Since her ex-husband was stripped of his role in the third part of Fantastic Beasts because of her statements, his fans demanded that she too lose her job. A petition was therefore started in November, demanding her blocking in the second Aquaman film. Now the trailer reveals: Amber will also be seen in the sequel to the cinema success!

As reported by insiders, the trailer for the comic adaptation was shown at a cinema fair on Tuesday. In it, the actress is said to have two brief appearances in her role as Mera. Nevertheless, it is to be expected that your screen time in the sequel will be significantly shorter than in the first part. Amber had claimed in court that her role was subsequently cut in response to the allegations, testifying, “I fought really hard to stay in the film. They didn’t want me in it.” The DC film boss Walter Hamada (54) justified the changes in the script with a lack of chemistry between her and the main actor Jason Momoa (43).

Allegedly, Johnny even tried to get his ex thrown out of the project during the first part of the comic adaptation. “I want her to be replaced in the Warner Bros. film,” he wrote in a letter to his sister. She is said to have worked for Warner Bros. at the time – the studio that produced “Aquaman”.
