Call of Duty will not be exclusive to Xbox yet despite the acquisition of Microsoft

After Microsoft announced the acquisition of ActivisionBlizzard various rumors have been spread that some franchises like ‘Call of Duty‘ will no longer be available for competition, PlayStationhowever, it has begun to transcend that there will be no major changes.

Users can relax, because according to Bloomberg, Activision made a commitment that his next three installments of Call of Duty will be available for both Xbox and PlayStation.

In other words, for the moment this franchise will not be exclusive to either of the two companies despite the historic acquisition of Microsoft, and the previous agreements will be respected.

For the agenda of this 2022 it is planned that Infinity Ward’s ‘Modern Warfare’ from the ‘Call of Duty’ franchise will arrive on PlayStation, also the next one from Treyarch and a new battle royale version of ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’.

It should be noted that the situation may change when the deal between Activision and Microsoft closes, which it could be June 30, 2022the date on which the Xbox owner’s fiscal year ends.

If so, when Activision’s transition is complete, new deals may be made that no longer include PlayStation and some titles become exclusive to Xbox and PC like ‘Starfield‘. In any case, the technology will give timely notices to the players.
