“All My Children” star Jeffrey Carlson dies aged 48

The television world has to cope with a heavy loss. Jeffrey Carlson was a real all-round talent. He has worked as a Broadway, film and television actor and singer. He became widely known for his role as the transgender character Zoe on the long-running daytime soap opera All My Children. But now fans of Jeffrey must be very strong, because there is sad news: the American TV star passed away at the age of 48.

Adam Feldman of Time Out New York tweeted an emotional message: “Rep, Jeffrey Carlson , 48, star of Broadway (Billy in ‘The Goat’, Marilyn in ‘Taboo ‘ ) and television (the seminal trans character Zoe in ‘All My Children’).” Adam reflected on Jeffrey’s career: “I first saw him in a Lee Blessing play called ‘Thief River’ when he was still in Juilliard – and it was clear that he was something special.” No details are known about the circumstances of his death.

Jeffery was born in California. In 2006 he began acting in the series “All My Children”. In August 2006, Jeffrey starred on the hit television show for the first time. In the series he first played a British rock star named Zarf. He returned to the role a few months later, and his character was revealed to be a transgender woman named Zoe. This makes Jeffrey the first actor to play a transgender character on daytime television.
