Action monitor: The latest Ulefone launched with a thermal camera

With great enthusiasm, Ulefone fills the market with the most diverse and special products, just think of the Armor 15 with TWS earphones or the Armor 17 Pro with a 108 megapixel camera. But on the tough line, it’s not necessarily the camera or the sound output that matters, but the protection and genre extras, and the Power Armor 18T is specifically Ulefone’s top model this year, packing the best of everything that only the manufacturer has access to.

It has IP68/69K dust and waterproof protection (1.5 meters, 30 minutes), as well as high water pressure, as well as the MIL-STD-810G mark, within which Ulefone includes shock resistance (dropped from 1.5 meters onto a concrete slab) and it specifies resistance to dust, salt fog and high humidity. The 6.58″ IPS panel with 120 Hz and 1080 x 2408 pixels is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and a reinforced plastic frame.

The selfie camera is a 32-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5KGD1 (f/2), and the rear one is a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM2 with an aperture of f/1.89 and a 5-megapixel macro unit. The other field elements on the island belong to the FLIR Lepton 3.5 thermal camera system with MSX technology, with a thermal sensor resolution of 160 x 120 pixels, a viewing angle of 57 degrees, a range between -10 and 400 degrees Celsius and a 5 megapixel auxiliary sensor. MyFLIR application is pre-installed on the phone.

Whoever guessed that the Power Armor 18T has gained a lot of weight because of all this is not wrong, and if I add the 9600 mAh battery (!), which can be charged at 66 watts via the Type-C port and 15 watts via the wireless Qi standard, the 175.2 is already understandable x 83.4 x 18.8 millimeter gigahousing, 409 gram weight. A 4G chip would have been unworthy of this set, so the brand included the medium-range MediaTek Dimensity 900, which is considered rare among strapamobiles and supports all domestic 4G and 5G bands, with the Mali-G68MC4 GPU, 12 GB of RAM and With 256 GB storage.

The memory can be expanded by an additional 5 GB in virtual form, and the storage can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 2 TB. The fingerprint reader has been moved to the side, and facial unlocking is also supported on the ad-free interface running Android 12, with Google services, NFC and Google Wallet mobile payments.
