A new mid-range Snapdragon chip is coming

Qualcomm has officially announced the date of its next presentation, which is March 17, which is next Friday. Based on what has happened so far, it is more than likely that the set will arrive in the 7 series, which could be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2, but an additional version is also not excluded. The 4-nanometer chip is in principle produced by TSMC, which sounds encouraging from the point of view of energy efficiency.

It seems that the new octa-core SoC with model number SM7475 has already run a round on Geekbench, based on which we expect a three-cluster layout with a 2.97 GHz Cortex-X2 power core, which is supported by three 2.5 GHz Cortex- It is accompanied by an A710 and four 1.8 GHz Cortex-A510 cores, and the Adreno 725 takes care of the graphics. If this configuration really belongs to the new generation of the Snapdragon 7 series, it will be the first to feature the QualcommCortex-X2 core in the mid-range category.

And with this, we can expect outstanding performance. AnTuTu measured the performance of the SM7475 chip in an as-yet-unannounced Realme Neo5 SE device to just over 1 million points (1,029,731), and no non-high-end set has produced such a high number so far.
