For this prototype they talk about a “water drop hinge”, which will make the screen have a lighter shape, like a drop of water, when it is folded inward.
This fold will also be more subtle because it would exert less pressure on the panel, which will prevent the brand from being less visible and annoying to touch and sight, as is currently the case with the Flip and the Fold. In addition to being more resistant to bending by the user.

The future of this prototype
The 360-degree fold has been in the orbit of the South Korean company for a while.
In 2021 they showed another prototype with the design of an S, which was divided into several hinges. An idea that for now has not materialized in a phone on the market.
Now with this proposal, rumors suggest that part of this technology would be present in the next Fold model.
