The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro , which launched in late 2021, are special devices. Indeed, these are the first Google smartphones using a Tensor chip, designed by the firm (and adapted to its AI needs), instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.
Moreover, with these two devices, and in particular with the Pixel 6 Pro, Google has started to upgrade its smartphones, since there have been significant improvements at the hardware level (for example, on the characteristics of the camera).
A design that should not change too much?
Today, we are already impatiently awaiting the arrival of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which will be launched at the end of 2022. And we can’t wait to discover the improvements that Google will make.
In any case, in terms of design, the Mountain View firm could adopt a strategy similar to that of Apple. So the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro could have almost the same design as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, but with a camera that could be even more visible.
Indeed, alleged renderings of the Pixel 7 Pro are already circulating on the web.

By the way, today we also have some unofficial information about the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro displays.
According to a tweet from Ross Young, a source of leaks that is regularly relayed by the media, the Pixel 7 would have a slightly smaller screen than that of the Pixel 6. More precisely, the size of this screen would increase from 6.4 inches on the Pixel 6, to 6.3 inches on the Pixel 7.
The Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, is said to be exactly the same size as the Pixel 6 Pro, with a 6.7-inch screen.
Hearing that the Pixel 7 will shrink from 6.4" to 6.3". Pixel 7 Pro will remain 6.7". Panel shipments to start 1 month earlier this year, from May.

In another tweet, Ross Young also indicates that like its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro should benefit from LTPO technology with a maximum rate of 120 Hz. As a reminder, this technology allows for high refresh rates, in order to display smooth animations when needed, but can also switch to lower rates for static content to minimize the screen’s impact on battery life.

Among the main new features of the Pixel 7, the Tensor 2 chip?
Currently, rumors are also circulating about the Tensor 2 chip, which Google is developing for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. There will definitely be CPU, GPU and AI performance gains. But for the moment, no specification has yet leaked.
Before the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro arrive, Google is still expected to release the Pixel 6A. It will be the affordable version of the Pixel 6 for the mid-range segment. And according to rumors, the Pixel A6 will also use the Google Tensor chip.
Rumors are also circulating about the Pixel Watch, which would be Google’s first connected watch, as well as a device called Pixel Notepad, which would be its first folding smartphone.
