Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects to receive new storage options for the iPhone 13 presentation tomorrow. A memory size, therefore, falls by the wayside.
- The analyst expects Apple to offer a 1TB storage space in iPhone 13
- This should only be available for the Pro and Pro Max models
- 64 GB storage option should disappear
When analyst and Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo dares to make a prognosis for the iPhone, it is important to listen carefully because it is very often correct or is simply appropriately well networked. If he promises us a new storage option one day before the launch of the Apple iPhone 13, the chances are good that we will be presented with exactly that tomorrow.
Apple targets storage milestone
If it is correct, Apple will offer us more memory than ever for both the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. There is talk of a new storage option being offered with 1 TB of storage space. With this assumption, Kuo confirms a rumor that emerged the other day when we were talking about higher prices for the iPhone 13. The expected storage options are between 128 GB at the lower end and the aforementioned 1 TB.
No more 64 GB for the iPhone
According to Kuo, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini will still have to do without this huge storage option. Nevertheless, something is happening for these models too, because it is expected that the smallest memory size – 64 GB – will be eliminated. This means that the “normal” iPhone will also receive a memory upgrade: in 2021 Apple will offer us 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB of storage space instead of 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB.
So good news for Apple fans who have always had to live with the fact that they have to do without the option of memory expansion. Tomorrow evening we will finally know which storage sizes we can choose between for the respective models. And the Tech Markup community can look forward to the fact that tomorrow we will give you a comprehensive report on everything you need to know about the Apple event and the new hardware.
