9 – Sense and Sensibility (1995)

The film tells the story of Elinor Dashwood, a young woman who loses her father and needs to move to a cottage in Devonshire. Her sister Marianne is torn between the charming John Willoughby and Colonel Brandon.
Meanwhile, Elinor’s romance with Edward Ferrars is threatened by commitment. The romantic drama certainly deserves its place on the list of best old romance movies!
8 – Pretty Woman (1990)

Who doesn’t love a story full of twists and turns? being known as one of the classic romance novels of all time, A beautiful woman it was a career-dividing film for Julia Roberts and, to this day, is a favorite with moviegoers.
In the plot, Vivian is a prostitute hired by Edward (Richard Gere) to be his escort. What they didn’t expect is that love would speak louder and, in that way, both would need to overcome obstacles and their own traumas to be together.

7 – Titanic (1997)

It is very difficult, if not impossible, to quote old romance films without mentioning Titanic. After all, it is not only one of the best romantic features, but also one of the most successful films in the history of cinema.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the film tells the tragic love story between Jack and Rose, two passengers aboard the most luxurious ship in the world.
6 – Ghost – On the Other Side of Life (1990)

4 – A Walk to Remember (2002)

If you’re looking for an old romance movie that will surely make you cry, you can bet that the best choice is A love to rememberbased on the book by Nicholas Sparks and starring Mandy Moore.
In the film, Landon is a bad boy who falls in love with a girl who is completely different from his type: straight and reserved. She has a wish list she wants to fulfill and asks Landon for help with it, but doesn’t tell her that she has leukemia.
3 – Gone with the Wind… (1939)

Those who love classic films will also fall in love with this period film, considered a classic of the genre.
AND Gone with the wind… tells the story of Scarlett O’Hara, a young woman with a strong personality who is in love with Ashley Wilkes. The plot takes place during the American Civil War and won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1940.
2 – Moulin Rouge (2001)
